Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is almost here!  As I’ve mentioned before, it’s not a big deal in my family but my husband’s family really does it up.  This year, however, was my year so we’ll be taking our little family of 3.5 away for an evening and then be back home in time to have a simple dinner at home on The Day.  I will, of course, be making the legendary stuffing for my husband as well as stuffing I prefer.  I’ll make mashed potatoes and some roasted sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts.  For dessert I will make a chocolate cream pie and maybe a pecan pie.  So, nothing too big or unusual.  The stuffing is the main dish, at least for my husband. Oh, and I’ll roast a chicken.  I don’t actually like turkey.
